Tiger & Infidelity
The news about Tiger the last week and change has been shocking to say the least. Not one affair, but multiple. And no, I haven’t put him on some “holier-than-thou” pedestal.
What’s really shocking, and curious to me, is that with Tiger such a high profile figure, you would have to figure that these women knew he was married. And to an obviously gorgeous Elin Nordgren. While I won’t ponder on Tiger’s decision to do it (I am a male, and do not condone it in the slightest), I’m curious about the women. What possesses a woman who knows that the object of her desire is taken, and is basically using the situation for sex (maybe trinkets too), to engage in this kind of behavior? Is there really some misguided delusion that they’ll leave their wife (through divorce) for them?
Inquiring minds want to know.

Non of these women would have given him even a glance, if it had not been who he was and the money. Nearly all of them are social and power climbers. who range from a would be social directorr (Rachel Utichel) to common variety cocktail waitress) and would be reality stars. They can’t think behind the money, gifts and power he brings. He is the first sports figure to break the billion dollar mark. At last count it’s been 10 so far. Evan after this all came out, Tigar continued to email several of the them. This has been going on since his honeymoon. Lucky he did not father other kids. Although he has so much money, he could have supported all of the children of the NBA by himself. I think he has an addiction problem, and a major one at that.

Tiger’s motives are easy enough to figure out, but as Tai and I discussed below, it’s boggling to me that these women have such low character to go after a married man. Money’s all fine and good as a “superficial” and “tabloid” motive, but to me, there’s something inherently wrong with a person to KNOWINGLY commit adultery. Sure, Joe Blow in a bar with his ring off is one thing, but really… a high profile like Tiger? Doesn’t add up to me is all.
But then again, no one ever said I thought like a female, lol.

From the point of view from someone who’s heart was broken by infidelity, I believe some women seek married me b/c they want to feel wanted. There is a level of insecurity present, and they think that by snagging a married man that makes them more desirable as a woman.
I also think its a fun game of cat and mouse that makes the relationship exciting.Throw in the fact that the dude is worth a billion dollars and they see gifts and a potential payday.
I think guys often seek out the company of single ‘ flaunt it in your face’ girls when they are scared of growing up. It often coincides with major life changes – marriage, pregnancy, kids… they have this weird belief that they can juggle the ‘kid within’ and ‘responsible husband’ and thus, best of both worlds.
I will never side with the homewrecker. I don’t care what line of BS the guy gives – once you know he’s married, paws off. People are capable of restraint and complex thought processes, its what separates us from the animals!!

I agree Tai, which is what really confuses me here. Do you mean to tell me that these women are of so corrupted moral character to consciously WANT to wreck someone’s home? Golden rule and all that? Would they really want the same for themselves to happen?
Having experienced enough heartache in my life, I can honestly say that I wouldn’t wish it on anyone, and that seems to be what’s happening here. We could go into an ethical debate for ages… but that’s not my forte, lol.
It just surprises me that if the roles were reversed (I had the opportunity to commit that kind of act with Angelina Jolie, for instance), I wouldn’t do it. Friendship, sure. But infidelity? Not really.

Hey Bro,
Well, Tiger’s a piece of crap; of course. He had a great thing going and couldn’t keep it under control like a lot of other people with money and influence.
As for the strumpets that he messed around with, hell, there are women who make it a habit of getting material possessions from guys like Tiger. There was a segment on Entertainment Tonight or one of those shows, that followed some women who were caught with big-name married men and they found that they had been with other guys in similar relationships. It’s like they do it for the sex but mostly for the material gifts and nice appt. they can get.
It’s a sad thing that is the example some people leave.
I’m praying that everything works out for your degree btw…
Cheers,

Couldn’t agree more Sean. It’s a sad and distateful example to be setting for the younger females out there. As if there weren’t enough horrible examples out there to begin with. Nevermind what other sorts of bad examples and situations arise to form impressionable minds.
Unfortunately, there may be some good to come out of it (in terms of setting an example). Dependent upon the spin, it should hopefully teach people that this kind of thing doesn’t go unpunished. Tiger’s gonna get screwed out of this by Elin and probably the rest of the girls aren’t going to get anything either.
And thanks for the well wishes. Exams start today, and so I’ll be busier than usual over the next few days with studying and writing papers. Everything *should* work out in the end, and I’ll have my Master’s degree in another week or two. I’ve got some leads on jobs as well, but won’t say anything until they materialize a bit more.
By the way, what do you think of the new digs? =p I’ll be getting a facelift here in the next few weeks.

I’m likin’ the digs ‘Big-time’! Pretty cool how you have the link from LJ to here.
I’ll keep my prayers heavy for the job opps! I’m happy to hear that you have some leads. There is a bright future out there, in many respects, it’s just staying focused and looking in the right areas. I hope you don’t have to relocate at all… you’ve worked so hard on your place and live in a great area.
I have to laugh too… you’re finishing up your Masters and I’m getting ready to go back and start mine. With both of the children close to being out of the house, I’m going to focus on my future now. =) @gatekeepeR

I can also have it post an update to my facebook (although it’s turned off because I was editing some of the non-blog pages). Weird how that plugin works. It’ll also work with Twitter, but I don’t use that. Facebook’s enough, I suppose, lol.
It’ll get a facelift here in the next few months. I want something that’s 100% me. Yanno?
I’m working on an opportunity with Volvo Truck here in town, slightly over my head, but my resume made it through the screener to the hiring manager. The screener thought it was a good match for the position. I’d love to get it. The other one is an app with the DCAA (struggling with the last “qualifier” question).
I’m not opposed to relocation, just not at the moment. Too much going on. I’d like to get established first before having to pack up and move.
